Experiências vivenciadas pelos estomizados: uma reflexão bioética

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the questions perceived by people with stoma, by bioethics. A bibliographical review was performed on SciELO, LILACS and BDENF, using the words stoma, colostomy, nursing-care; quality of life and ethics. Eight articles had filled the selection criteria. The articles were read and the main ideas were marked and validated by second reader. The following units of meaning were identified: mutilation (auto harmed image); social reintegration; available resources and loss of the productive capacity. People with stoma perceived some dilemma in the bioético scope, amongst them the vulnerability from the conflictions situation, from to an incompressible reality. The vulnerability also reaches the professional, towards the ethical-know and making-know. All the professionals must act according the human rights, respecting the dignity, intending that the care does not become only technical, not only focused on biological necessities, but looking to psychic-social-cultural and religious needs, according to bioethics.
